Kuba sizalelwe umntwana,
sanikwa unyana;
kwaye ulawulo luya
kuba phezu kwegxalaba lakhe;
kwaye igama lakhe liya
kubizwa ngokuba,
nguMmagaliso, nguMcebisi,

nguBawo onguNaphakade,
yiNkosana yoXolo.
And behold
He shall be born of Mary
at Jerusalem
she being
a pure woman

chosen vessel

conceive

Because a child is born for us,
